The place that we are will be going is Steamboat Lake, Colorado. There are many edible plants in Colorado. Some of these plants are maple, peppermint, dandelions, and quackgrass. There are also many poisonous plants in Colorado. There are many edible berries that we can eat too. In Steamboat the most common plant that we will eat the most is Showy Milkweed. We will leave for Steamboat Lake in April. The temperature in Steamboat Springs, a close city to Steamboat Lake, changes a lot.The average temperature for April is 39.4°F, May is 39.4°F, June is 55.8°F, and July's average temperature is 63.6°F. In the Winter the lake freezes and a lot of snow falls. We will get water and fish for food from Steamboat Lake and will live in the forest located beneath it.

There are many different types of animals in Steamboat.Some fish in Steamboat Lake are Rainbow trout, Tasmanian and Bel aire hybrids, and, Brown trout. there are over 200 kinds of birds in Steamboat Springs. Some of them are northern harrier, osprey, great blue heron, western screech owl, western blue bird, hairy and downy woodpecker, red winged blackbird and many more. Some land animals in Steamboat Springs are mule deer,red fox, long-sailed weasel, northern pocket gopher, beavers, and muskrat.
